Perfect guesthouse
Julie was the most exemplary host, attending to all our needs with a smile. The room and bathroom were very clean with all amenities regularly topped up. The beds were comfortable and the quality linen and pillows ensured a great nights sleep. The location is great for local shops, restaurants and bars and also bus routes. Highly recommended ???? Wonderful Personal service
I cannot recommend this Guest House highly enough. My husband has been in John Radcliffe for 5 weeks and I have coming and going from Dorset and staying with Julie at Red Mullions. She has put herself out on all occasions to help and reassure and nothing has been too much trouble. Thank you so much Julie. Mary Hart x (Source TripAdvisor)
Extremely clean, compact and comfortable
Julie was very helpful.A very convenient place to stay if your main purpose is to be around the Headington campus.Lots of cafes and restaurants in walking distance at the Headington center. We are not breakfast people, so we were happy to be offered a lower rate without breakfast. If your main purpose is centered around the historic old part of Oxford - then this is some distance away. Buses are convenient to catch, but remember traffic moves very slowly on oxfords 2 lane streets. (Source Google)
Lovely stay in comfortable room
Our family of 4 stayed in the 3rd floor family room. It was very comfortable, clean, quiet, and well maintained. Parking for small cars in sight for free. Bus stop to and from downtown Oxford right out on the street. Restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was lovely. Highly recommend. (Source: TripAdvisor)
The Red Mullions is great!!
I had an excellent 2-day stay at the Red Mullions! I travelled for a conference and I could enjoy of a very comfortable room, with everything I needed. Julie is charming! The breakfast is complete and the location is very convenient. If you move by bus, the stop is right accross the street. I would recommend it to anyone travelling for pleasure, work, or a family visit. (Source: TripAdvisor)
Excellent accommodation and care
Red Mullions provides excellent accommodation and considerate treatment, especially important because many of its guests (like me) stay there while having medical treatment at one of the many hospitals nearby. Staff are understanding and helpful. (Source: TripAdvisor)
Perfect for our needs
Clean comfortable rooms pleasant staff. I was able to park there which was great as Oxford parking is very restrictive. (Source: Google reviews)
Fabulous B&B with a perfect location for Oxford Brookes University
I've been staying at Red Mullions regularly for three years and have been well looked after by Julie. Always receive a warm welcome and the bedrooms are spotless and quiet. A wonderful location for Oxford Brookes University. Highly recommend!
Outstanding
I had a lovely five day stay at Red Mullions.Julie was so friendly and helpful and couldn’t doenough for me. My room was excellent as was breakfast. I would strongly recommend Red Mullions to any traveller or visitor to Oxford.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I look forward to seeing you again soon.Kind Regards
Wonderful and convenient
We had an excellent stay with our two boys. We arrived after hours and were provided clear instructions how to get to our room. Everything in the room was very nice and the breakfast the next morning was tasty. We were allowed to leave our car in their lot and walk into town. The locations is very convenient for bus pickup as well.

Thank you so much for your review. It was a pleasure to meet you.Kind Regards
Perfectly placed
Firstly I would like to say how accommodating the host was, moving the booking forward one day, allowing us to check in early and leave our car in the guest house car park after we’d checked out to continue looking around Oxford. The guest house is superbly located with abus stop was across the road that takes you into Oxford city in 10-15 mins, although if you like walking, I’d walk in ( approx 35/40 mins) and bus back as it’s uphill on the way back. There is also a parade of shops and restaurants and on Saturday a market within 5 minutes of the guest house in the opposite direction to the city . The bed linen and towels were soft and sparkling white and the shower was hot and powerful ( it doesn’t look like it would be)I would have preferred a cooked breakfast rather than the continental offering but the berry compote was delicious and toast plentiful. I did feel that the bed room decor felt functional but the bed was comfortable, there was an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe and sky tv.For the£120 for the king size bedroom I did not expect a dusty radiator and mouldy windows in the bathroom though.Overall, I’d be happy to stay again.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, They are very important to us and we have taken on board your comments.Kind Regards
Brilliant place to stay
I have stayed at Red Mullions 3 times now and as always we had an excellent stay. The B and B is in a super location near to the town centre, you can drive into town to the Westfield car park( it says it is full but it isn’t!) or get a bus into town- bus stop across the road from B and B.The rooms are a good size and very clean. Breakfast is worth every Penny- delicious! The hosts are friendly and accommodating and following all Covid guidelines. If you are coming to Oxford - you must stay here!
Highly recommended!! Very friendly, warm & accomodating
I cannot begin to describe how thankful I am, I booked room at Red Mullions for a 4 night stay whilst a family member stayed at the John Radcliffe Hospital which is less than a ten minute walk away. Due to unforeseen circumstances my 4 night stay turned into a 3 week stay!! The owners were very caring & went above & beyond to make sure I was taken care of and were totally flexible & accommodating which was a huge relief for me. The rooms were clean & homely with tea, coffee, hot chocolate & complimentary biscuits..YUM!...everything in the room was just welcoming & cosy & after visits to the hospital it was nice to come "home" to my room. Breakfast was fantastic & I looked forward to it every morning especially as I was greeted by the brilliant Julie & Rick who never failed to brighten my day & make me laugh..I actually miss you both ha ha...All of the staff at this b&b are superb & I'll definitely be paying you all another visit in the future, just under different circumstances .
Highly recommend
The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are very clean and a nice size. The guesthouse is in a good central location with shops, pubs and takeaway within walking distance. Short taxi drive to Westgate shopping centre.
Best B&B experience in Oxford
My husband and I stayed in Red Mullions for 3 nights. We loved everything about the place and the very warm welcome from Pami when we first arrived in the guest house. Breakfast was also included in the package (bonus as I didn’t know it at first). We were given lots of food to choose from. Highly recommended for those who are travelling and looking for a nice place to stay in Oxford. We would definitely book again on our next trip!
Home from home
Lovely gem of a small hotel, clean well equipped, where nothing was too much trouble. Pami & H we’re the perfect hosts. Near to attractions and London without the hassle ?? Great choice of breakfasts even with the lockdown restrictions x
Very warm and friendly
It is my first time in oxford and I made a good decision in staying in Red Mullions. The place is very warm and cozy. And a perfect spot, near the universities and city center. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. I would recommend this place for a safe stay if you want to visit oxford.
Friendly and helpful
I'm so glad I met Pami and her husband...they were wonderful hosts! I stayed at Red Mullions for 10 days, and they handled my quarantine very well. They were happy to make special arrangements for a very comfortable stay. The room was clean and light, and there is a large back garden. There is so much within walking distance (if I could've gone out)...they are in the heart of Headington. I definitely recommend this guest house!
Top Notch
Lovely Place, Friendly Greeting, nice extremely comfy clean room, Even the sky remote was shrink wrapped and sanitzed with covid regulations felt very safe and secure ! Agreeable helpful host who showed us round and offered advice on local amenities, well priced as well to top it off. Nice Big Tv. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Oxford for business or pleasure
A very good standard
This b and b is run with a high standard of cleanliness, covid safety, maintenance and attention to detail. The owners went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and I stayed for several months while supporting family. Check in, check out, and entry and exit arrangements are well thought through, flexible and straightforward. It is ideally placed, close to a small High Street with many useful shops. Frequent buses from nearby get you into the centre, and out of Oxford. It is very reasonably priced and genuinely deserves its high rating and good reviews. There are pleasant streets and parks around for walks. I recommend it to everyone, whatever the purpose of your stay.
Convenient location, nice folks
Stayed one night in order to be close to JR Hospital. This B&B is only a 5 minute walk to the hospital and Pami was super helpful at check-in with a map of the hospital to give directions around it. The B&B was very tidy with cute seasonal décor. They are very good at keeping it COVID safe and very clean. My room overlooked the back garden and was very quiet. I didn't have time in the morning for breakfast but there were teas, coffees and yummy, chocolate biscuits left in the room for me. Pami offered to get anything else I needed- shampoo, etc. So very helpful and friendly. Check out was a breeze. Would highly recommend if you need a place to spend the night also it's super close to the hospital if needed. They also have plenty of off street parking.
Very friendly welcome
This is a lovely place to stay. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable with tea/coffee making, en-suite, sky TV, effective wifi and hairdryer. Everything was COVID compliant. They brought a continental breakfast to the room at a time of your choice - tea/coffee, toast or croissant, yoghurt and compote, cereal, fruit and juice. I would definitely come back!
Brillant place to stay
My Dad had an early appointment at the John Radcliffe Hospital, so we stayed here for 2 nights. The owners couldn't do enough for us to make our stay as comfortable and as easy as possible during a stressful time when my Dad was having an operation. Pami went out of her way to help us in finding a way to make eating in the evening comfortable for my Dad. The awareness and arrangements for Covid here are strict which meant we all felt comfortable we were in a safe environment. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to others, and would love to stay again in the future for pleasure rather than a hospital visit. Book here and you won't be disappointed.
Great place to stay
Was here only for one night. Going to Oxford Brooke’s university which is within walking distance. Lovely guest house. Parking on site. Delicious breakfast, comfortable, clean room and lovely people. Quiet even though on a busy road.
Friendly Guest House
Great location near by the public bus stations to down town and city center. A lot of restaurants and supermarket near by.All the staff are very friendly and helpful with delicious breakfast too. No bathroom amenities provided and please prepare on your own. I spent five days in Oxford to helping our daughter to settle in and it is a good place as you can easily reach everywhere at Oxford by public buses
Felt like home!
What a great place to stay if you’re visiting Oxford! We just spent 4 great days in Oxford helping our daughter and son-in-law settle in to their new life at Oxford. Granted, the weather was amazing the whole time, but Joao, Patricia and their team at the Red Mullions Guest House made our stay all the more special. A very warm environment, super attentive service, on-site parking, great access to the bus (you’ll need the bus when visiting Oxford, even if you do have a rental car) and the most amazing breakfast you’ll ever have at a B&B. We’d be very happy to stay at the RM on a future visit, given the opportunity. Muito obrigado Joao & Patricia. Ate logo!
A very friendly hostess
Good hospitality, you can enjoy delicious breakfast everyday, staffs are helpful, there are many room types to choose, my room is quiet and big because it is available for disability. Guest house near gas station, supermarkets nearby, close to town centre.
Excellent
Very nice clean and friendly guest house with good breakfasts too. Rooms are very nice and have an you need and beds are fine albeit slightly in the hard side. Close to city centre with bush’s running from outside. Would definitely stay again
Excellent
My mother and I stayed for 3 days in July and had a lovely time. My mother is disabled and they were always helpful with the wheelchair. There was lots of choice for breakfast and they accommodatedevery dietary requirement. The room was very clean and quiet.
Spotlessly clean!
Spent one night at Red Mullions before my son's operation the next day. Spotlessly clean, comfortable room. Delightful concierge who allowed me to keep my car at the B and B during the following day while we were at the hospital. Couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. Sadly we were "nil by mouth" so couldn't take advantage of what looked like a very good breakfast!
Ferry Nice
Rooms are Ferry Nice, and the breakfast is just fabuleus !!!
Wonderful Stay
A lovely guest house, clean comfy with very friendly and helpful staff.I would certainly recommend this place to my friends and family.
Great stay!
Great place very helpful and clean. Straight bus line to downtown. Fabulous breakfast!
Would come again
Very nice room, immaculate modern & comfortable- lovely breakfast and friendly staff
Visit to JR Hospital.
Always our first choice of accommodation in Oxford, as excellent standard and courteous staff and absolutely first class breakfast.
A good place to stay when visiting Oxford
This bed and breakfast was reasonably priced with an excellent breakfast and good location. You are a 35 min walk to the Oxford centre or buses are readily available out the front. Very nice and friendly management. Would recommend 😀
Businees stay with late arrival
As usual Red Mullions works very well with pleasant attentive staff and fine amenities
4 Night stay
Outstanding guest house. We love it and the breakfast was very good, great location for transportation to Oxford, short walk to Headington. The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this guest house.
Short stay
Pleasant stay at RM again!Thank you fir the nice packed breakfast you left in iur room for the morning of our departure!I hope you manage to fix soon the shower cubicle door!We will stay again here when next in Oxford!
Red Mullions is excellent
A wonderful place to stay, easy access to. Oxford and surrounding areas. Breakfasts the best of any where we stayed.
Visiting relatives
We stayed 4 days. Lovely room and the breakfast was outstanding. The staff were great, professional, helpful, and friendly. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to stay near Oxford
First ever stay here
Friendly, easy access into city centre.
Polite staff and cosy facilities
I enjoyed my one night stay at the Red Mullions guesthouse. The staff are very welcoming and the facilities are clean and look quite new. There is a good range of food for breakfast as well. I only knocked a star off because I felt that the walls were a bit thin and I could hear my neighbours. With my ear plugs at night, it would be five stars.
Perfect
Friendly, clean, easy to get into Oxford! Will definitely be going again
Excellent bed and breakfast
We stayed in room 10 on the ground floor. The room was very spacious with a large wet room (en suite). The wet room had a window which is always a bonus. Two single beds which were very comfortable; tea and coffee making facilities; a hairdrier and somewhere to sit to read or watch television. There was also a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers.Toiletries were supplied, too.Breakfast was a treat: cooked to order, we had eggs Benedict which were delicious but you could have full English if that's what you like. There were ample cereals, toast, tea and freshly ground coffee and lovely yogurt and fruit compote pots (I was extremely full after wards!)We had a lovely stay and I will choose to stay here again in the future.
Awesome place to stay
Extremely friendly staff, best breakfast and very good value for money. Right next to a bus stop too.
Warm welcome and great breakfast
This is the third time I have stayed overnight at Red Mullions and I have no hesitation in recommending it. Rooms are compact but well-designed, clean and quiet and Pami serves a great breakfast - not just full English but an enticing cold buffet. Very convenient for Oxford Brookes University, and on a main route for the town centre.
Excellent service
The Red Mullions was a perfect place to stay for our Harry Potter visits in Oxford and the Harry Potter studios. Expect a nice, friendly family-run hotel with a caring owner, clean rooms and excellent breakfast. And don't forget to see the Headington shark located a few hundred meters away.
visit to John Radcliffe Hospital
Comfy bed, spacious room, excellent breakfasts.Everything you could want from a very well run B&B.
Excellent
This is the fourth time staying at Red Mullions - fabulous as usual - very high standards and the staff areso lovely - nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend.
A week at the Red Mullions
Very comfortable, pleasant staff and good food
Exceptional
We arrived on Saturday afternoon, around lunch time or just after and were able to check-in immediately. The gentleman who greeted us was very welcoming and we were quickly shown to our room. The room was spacious enough for what we needed, extremely clean, and very well appointed. The en-suite was also very clean and relatively newly installed. I couldn't believe they had Sky, not that we watched any! Our breakfast next morning was lovely, what wasn't there to eat! Overall we were thoroughly impressed. My wife and I have not stayed in a Guest House before, it's been hotels. We were so impressed that there are a number of hotels that we think could learn a hell of a lot from Red Mullions! Well done! Next time we are back, we know where we are staying!
Highly recommended
I only stayed at Red Mullions for one night and highly recommend it. The room was immaculate and well heated with modern decor, wifi and hotel-style amenities, the breakfast, from a large selection, was great and the host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Perfect location for the local hospitals, just a few minutes walk away.
Great place
We had a wonderful stay in a very quiet room that had everything we needed. The rooms are quite small for the price, but had a great breakfast and Martin was friendly and helpful. Would most certainly stay there again.
Very good!
HI!Thank you again for our stay at Red Mullions! It is not our first and definitely not our last!We always found our stay very pleasant not only the standards in hygiene are very high but the owners are very welcoming and are really making efforts to make you feel comfortable.Parking facilities are very good, next to a bus station that connects you to the center as well.Only one small thing that made it 'near perfect'as opposed to 'perfect' - in the morning the kitchen smell is flooding the room but considering you should be downstairs serving what is cooked in the kitchen you could consider it an invitation to breakfast rather than unpleasant smell....
Really kind and helpful staff, lovely place!
I had a lovely stay at the Red Mullions. My favorite thing about it was Martin, who is exceptionally kind and helpful, and goes over and beyond what could reasonably be expected of him. Lovely room with a warm feeling, very clean, very nice breakfast with great choice and lovely smells around the place!
Comfortable and friendly
We were very warmly welcomed by the owner who gave us maps and details of the bus services and local restaurants. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the breakfast service was excellent too.Thank you
Great stay at Red Mullions Guest House
We've had a warm welcome at the Red Mullions Guest House and we've really enjoyed staying there for three nights with our one-year-old son. The Guest House is perfectly located to reach Oxford Brookes University (at walking distance) and also for the city centre (15 mins by bus). It's approximately 1 hour far from Heathrow and the coach stops a few mins away. The rooms are comfortable (with a baby as well, as cots are provided).Great choice and quality for breakfast in a very friendly and cozy atmosphere; high chairs are provided too.We definitely recommend staying at the Red Mullions!
Excellent stay!!
I stayed for 1 night as I was running a conference at Oxford Brookes University. The guesthouse was on the main road and easy to find, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful upon arrival and during breakfast and the guesthouse itself was a lovely place to stay. All really nice, modern and clean rooms and located a few minutes walk from Headington centre. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to someone else.
Warm and friendly welcome
Red Mullions is my guest house of choice in Oxford. You get a warm welcome and they are happy to go the extra mile to make your stay convenient for business purposes. It's well located for Oxford Brookes University and there are regular buses to the city centre.

First time staying at Red Mullions but this was a great visit with a friendly welcome.

excellent
stayed here for 2 nights in December, the red mullions is very modern and clean, run by Martin and Pammie who are both so kind and helpful. The room was a good size and bathroom spotless and has all the modern amenities. The breakfast was outstanding also.Would definitly stay here again if in the area and recommend it highly.
Such a comfortable friendly place
Martin could not have been more thoughtful and accommodating. Martin is the 'extra' factor to the stay. Thanks so much for helping us in so many ways with such a lovely attitude.
Friendly and accommodating
We stayed here whilst our baby was having an operation at John Radcliffe. Staff were friendly and accommodated our requests. Would highly recommend
Visiting daughter
Great, large room with good ensuite , and good breakfast. Our room was ready by 12.30 on day of arrival.Excellent if visiting Oxford Brooks. My daughter is a student staying in Dorset House, whoch is across the road.
Highly Recommended
Another very enjoyable stay at the Red Mullions. Always assured of a warm welcome, a comfortable room and a hearty breakfast.
Great for families
We had a wonderful stay. The large family room was spacious and comfortable.Staff was friendly, helpful and devoted time to our questions.Breakfast was good and something for everyone. We had two problems. There was not enough parking. We found weekend parking in front of a school a couple of blocks from the guest house. We also had issues with the WiFi.There was a large storm the day we arrived but the problem was not resolved in the two days there. Both problems would not inhibit my return to stay at Red Mullions.
dci power Ltd
Hi we stopped at the longs Inn for only one night witch was very nice and clean .Therooms were at a good price .all the staff werevery nice and helpful. The food was really good home cooked food and would recommend the longs Inn to anyone looking to stop in the area .Many thanks Steve whiston
Perfect Experience
Excellent hotel. Great Room; Really nice & helpful staff. Nice and warm. Nice breakfast. Excellent service. Thanks very much.
Professional approach
Red Mullions is a great guest house. We had the downstairs large front room with very big bed and comfortable seating area. We were warmly welcomed to collect key and park car at 10 am and a taxi to take us into town which was £5 inc tip. Our breakfast was excellent with very rapid service. Every thing was done with a very friendly and professionally approach. Very good communications. Comments but not complaints. TV was very complicated to switch on and instructions did not work. Large shower but the shower door aperture was the narrowest I have ever seen, not easy for the larger person, my fault !!
Red Mullions Guest House
Lovely place to stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and very homely. Breakfast freshly cooked to our requirements Would highly recommend a stay and hope to return next year.
feedback
Everything is great!
Oxford Reunion
Arrived, checked-in and was back in the taxi going in to town within 5 minutes : excellent, no-fuss over each guest having a key, efficient same-key to enter as for the room and the front door, all good. The wet-room bathroom (room 10) was a nice feature and breakfast was relaxed, hot and well made. Nice touch having some gluten free stuff. All in all, I could highly recommend Red Mullions.
Superb for Oxford
We had a very short but very nice stay. Very good family-room and great breakfast. Super service!
Caz
I traveled to Oxford with my nephew whilst my husband had a knee op in the local hospital. We found the service at Red Mullions faultless. We arrived early but were still able to leave bags in our already cleaned room. We were unsure how many nights we needed to stay so confirmed on a daily basis making what could have been a very fraught experience simple. Our room was spotless and comfortable and the breakfast menu was extensive and beautifully cooked. I would definitely recommend Red Mullions to anyone and will be returning again having enjoyed outstanding service
Friendly Place to Stay
Courteous, friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Convenient location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Family gathering
My family stayed here as part of my birthday celebrations. They very much enjoyed their rooms, the hospitality and the varied breakfast menu.Very much recommended.
OVERNIGHT AT RED MULLIONS
My husband and I were only in Oxford for one night and stayed at the Red Mullions Guest House. From the outset we knew we had made the right choice of accommodation. We were greeted by Steve who was charm itself. Our room was especially comfortable and spacious. We could come and go as we pleased throughout our stay.Steve was most helpful with directions to various places and on the day of our departure we were allowed to keep our car parked at Red Mullions. We would recommend highly.
Lovely 1 night stay
We stayed in the en-suite family room and was lovely. Friendly staff and very good breakfast. Quiet area for a good night of sleep. We stopped one night for visiting Oxford (30min walking distance from the city). We would go back again.
wonderful place and people
We have been very comfortable. The charming house and the room were lovely, and the people who take care of us are very pleasant, friendly attentive. ..
One night stay August 24th
When we arrived we had a warm welcome from Martin. The room was clean and met our needs.Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order. Our only issue was noisy plumbing pipes in the evening and early morning when the hot water was turned on.We reported this to Martin, who thanked us for letting him know and stated he would look into getting this resolved. We stayed in Room 15, which would have been quiet but for the hot water pipes!
Red Mullions guest house
excellent stay- prior contact from owner, good welcome on arrival but left to our own devices with a key to come and go as we pleased. Room- lovely, modern, clean nice touches- water and body lotion. Breakfast enjoyable unique and delicious - would recommend
Very friendly B&B
Near Oxford, Busstop infront of the House, very friendly Staff, comfortable Beds, delicious Breakfast. We can highly recommend it
great breakfast included
Met all of our needs - clean and convenient. Be aware that it is a bit of a walk to the city center but the bus stop is at the front door so the ten minute bus ride was not a problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Excellet Bed and Breakfast
So pleased we found this b & b, very welcoming and clean, good size room and quiet location but so easy to get into centre of Oxford (special mention for the towels - the smelt lovely)
Enjoyable stay
My daughter and I only stayed for one night but we were impressed by this Guest House. The owners were very friendly, the room clean and well furnished, the food was good and the Red Mullions is well located for visits to the city centre (about 10 min. bus ride)
just right
Just right. Comfortable and very clean. Ideal for the many hospitals in the area. Friendly, informative welcome without being over enthusive. And no traffic noise. Would definitely stay there again.
Wonderful place
This is a lovely place to stay, immaculate rooms, comfy beds and lots of attention to detail. Service with a smile too.
Great B&B
I only stayed one night as my mother was in the hospital, My room was very comfortable, it had plenty of coffee, tea, bottled water etc and good quality biscuets. The bathroom had good quality toiletries provided. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was amazing they use good quality locally sourced meat, eggs etc. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Red Mullion.
Bright place
Overall the stay was good.
Third stay
As on our previous two visits, our welcome was warm as was our room! Very comfortable and quiet. Great breakfast and easy parking....and hosts who'll go the extra mile!
Excellent.
Probably the best stay we've had in the UK.
